      Auburn, Dec 17. Horace Goheen an aged resident of Town died of a complications of diseases. Mr. Goheen had been in ill health for past several years, but continued as night watchman at the Auburn Shale Brick Co. until a few days ago when he met with an accident in which he was severely burned. Deceased was born and reared in the neighborhood of Joanna where he conducted a farm for a number of years. But for the past several years he has been engaged as watchman at the local brick plant. He is survived by his widow, two daughters. Jennie, wife of Harry Kenney of Reading and Maggie wife of Aaron Trout of Reading; his mother, five sisters and a brother. Funeral. Monday at 11 am at Harmony Methodist Church.

      The Late Horace Goheen of Auburn
      Mrs. Allison Fosnocht of his place. received a telegram from Auburn stating that her brother, Horace Goheen had died during the night. Deceased who was in his 71st year was a resident of this locality [Joanna] for many years, and during the operation of Jones' mines worked in the capacity of engineer and boss for a number of years. When the plant closed he sought employment elsewhere and finally located at Auburn.
      For several years past his health was broken by an attack of Bright's disease. He then was appointed as a watchman at a manufacturing plant and while on duty he met with an accident a week ago by being burned severely from an exploding torch, which together with is chronic ailment culminated in hi death. Deceased is survived by a widow and two daughters, Mr Harry Kenney and Mrs Aaron Trate of Reading. Five sisters and a brother are survivors of his family: Mrs Sarah Gabriel, Mrs Allison Fosnocht, Mrs. Matilda Higo, of this place; Mrs Richard Rierson of Honey Brook. Mrs Maria Berger and Henry Goheen of Reading. His mother, Mrs Jane Goheen, 94 years of age a resident of this locality is still active, and in the enjoyment of reasonably good health. Deceased was twice married, the second wife being Hannah M Robison, a sister of Mrs Rachel Moch, and Mrs John McCormick of this vicinity.
      The funeral will be held on Monday Dec 20 at Harmony Church after the arrival of the 10:30 am train from Reading. Friends will be met at Joanna by teams furnished by residents of his locality
